Fowler, California
Armando Ramirez, who was born July 8, 1945, in Durango, Mexico, lived a life filled with hard work, dedication, and a profound love for his community and family. He was a beacon of hope, strength, and determination, embodying the very essence of the American Dream. At the tender age of 16, Armando propelled himself into barber school, honing his skills and shaping what would become a successful career. His barbershop, Armando's Barbershop, located in the heart of Firebaugh, California, was more than a business, but a cornerstone of the community, serving generations of families for over 55 years.
Armando was not just a barber, he was a storyteller, a confidant, and a friend. His clients, many of whom he considered family, were always treated to an engaging tale and a hearty laugh. His dedication extended beyond the confines of his barbershop, making house calls to those who were unable to visit him. His commitment to service did not stop at his shop's doorstep. He was an active and integral part of his community through involvement in the Lions Club, Rotary Club, Promise Keepers, 4-H, and the Firebaugh Area Swim Team. Armando's dedication to service made him a respected figure, an icon whose spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of Firebaugh.
Above all, Armando was a family man, a beacon of love, and a testament to the beauty of faith and hard work. He was a devoted husband to Mary, a loving father to Andre, Alan, and Valerie, a cherished father-in-law to Mike and Maribel, and an adored grandfather to Lucy, Alancito, Micki, and Solana. He is also survived by his siblings Tony Murillo, Jesse Ramirez, Joe Murillo and Rosa Elena Luttenberger. Armando's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Ramirez and Maria Murillo and his siblings, Francisco Ramirez and June Morgan.
