Elpidio Aguila

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Elpidio Cruz Aguila on May 2, 2026. Born April 4, 1935, in Batangas, Philippines, Elpidio brought joy, wisdom, and love into the lives of those fortunate to know him. He spent the last 14 years of his life in Clovis, California.

Elpidio had a fulfilling career as a Mailroom Clerk in a healthcare institution for 13 years, where his meticulous nature and dedication to his work were highly valued. Yet, what mattered most to him was not his professional accomplishments, but his family. Elpidio was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 52 years, Evelyn Aguila. He was a supportive father to his sons, Robert and his wife Jennifer, and Arvin and his wife Nhadjee. His four grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Elpidio's love for his family was paralleled only by his love for gardening, which he enjoyed as a peaceful, earthy respite from the demands of life.

Elpidio was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Virginia Aguila. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and humility that will continue to inspire his family and everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Rabara Memorial Chapel, 916 E. Divisadero, Fresno, CA 93721 on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul Catholic Newman Center on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Redbank emetery in Clovis, California.
