Eulalia Nuno

–

Fresno, California

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend, Eulalia Lanas Nuño, lovingly known to everyone as “Laly,” on May 8, 2026. She was 81 years old.

Laly was born on January 4, 1945, in Fowler, California, to Gustavo Lanas and Mary Ramirez. She spent most of her life in Fresno, where she built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, hard work, and unconditional love.

Laly shared a lifelong love with her surviving husband, Rodolfo Nuño, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, music, and resilience. She was a proud and loving mother to Bertalicia, Delia, Rudy, and her beloved daughter Leticia Nuño, who preceded her in death and remained forever in her heart. Laly’s greatest joy was her family, especially her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. She also leaves behind four siblings, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

To know Laly was to know her compassionate and caring spirit. Her kitchen was the heart of the family, always filled with the smell of homemade meals, fresh beans, and her famous salsa that everyone requested and no one could ever quite duplicate. She had a way of making every person who walked through her door feel welcomed, cared for, and loved. Whether she was feeding family, offering advice, dancing to music she loved, tending to her garden, or cheering loudly for her grandchildren at their games and events, Laly made people feel special.

She worked for many years in Food Services with Fresno Unified School District, where she built lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her kindness, humor, and caring spirit. She was strong, hardworking, and selfless, always putting her family first and giving endlessly of herself without asking for anything in return.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Light, 1620 W. Her legacy lives on through her family, the traditions she created, and the countless lives she touched. Laly will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
