Fresno, California
Francisco Jose Cabrera, also warmly known as "Frank," was born on September 22, 1987, in the vibrant city of Fresno, California. An authentic son of Fresno, he lived his entire 37 years in the city he loved, leaving us far too soon on July 13, 2026. His life was a testament to the words of Maya Angelou, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." Frank embodied this sentiment in every aspect of his life.
Francisco’s life was marked by hard work and dedication, having spent 20 years in the construction industry. He was a talented tile installer at the Cal Custom Tile Company, where he was an indispensable part of the team for over a decade. His dedication to his work was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. Frank was the proud father of three beautiful children: his eldest, Jewlea, and two sons Elias and Cruz. He was the loving brother to Tonya and Destiny and the cherished son of his father, Tony Cabrera.
Francisco was preceded in death by his beloved mother Lisa Mendoza and his brother Joe Cabrera, his uncles Ben and Frank.
Frank was a man who lived life to the fullest. He was a steadfast Dallas Cowboys fan, a lover of nature and the outdoors, often seen kayaking or fishing, always with his signature straw hat. He had an infectious joy, always ready with a joke, a hearty laugh, or a loving gesture. He loved BBQing, music, art, and funny movies, but most of all, he loved his family. His zest for life was contagious and his spirit indomitable. As Frank’s favorite saying goes, “Life is better when you’re laughing,” and he made sure those around him were always doing just that. To meet Francisco was to be touched by his warmth, his love for life, and his unwavering joy.
