It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gerardo Quinteros Morales, who departed this life on June 1, 2026. A native of Durango, Mexico, born on October 26, 1966, Gerardo lived for 45 years in Fresno, California, where he was a beloved figure in the community and at Belmont Memorial Park, where he dedicated over 30 years of his life in service countless beareaved families.
Gerardo was a man of many passions, and they were as varied as they were intense. He was particularly known for his love for his truck, spending countless hours cleaning and caring for it. Yet, his real culinary expertise shone in his cooking. He was particularly known for his carne asada, a testament to his Mexican heritage that he always carried with him. His appetite extended to all cultures' cuisines, reflecting his openness and curiosity about the world. But the greatest of his passions were his grandchildren, who were the center of his universe. His love for them knew no bounds.
Gerardo was preceded in death by his loving parents, Juan Morales and Marina Quinteros.
He is survived by his children, Juan Gerardo Morales and his wife Yoselin, Pedro Morales, Sandra Marina Morales, Lizbeth Morales, Maria Guadalupe Morales and Yahaira Morales; his companion Sylvia Amaro and his 10 grandchildren and 4 beloved sisters.
His loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes about his character, empathy, and kindness.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Saint John's Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa Street, Fresno, California, 93721. The vigil service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
