Ignacio Ruiz Jr

–

Fresno, California

Ignacio Ruiz, Jr. was born to Ignacio Ruiz and Stella Salazar on October 9, 1972, in Fresno, California and passed away on September 21, 2026 in Fresno, California.

Ignacio was a proud graduate of Washington Union High School. He continued his education at Reedley College before attending Fresno State, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business.

For 27 years, Ignacio worked in surveying, a career he truly loved and took great pride in. Away from work, he enjoyed cheering on his beloved San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants. He also loved spending time at the horse races, but one of his greatest passions was gardening.

Ignacio took special pride in his fruit trees and the abundance they produced. For him, the joy was not simply in growing the fruit, but in sharing it with his family and friends. His garden reflected the kind of person he was—generous, hardworking, and happiest when he could give to others.

Above all else, the greatest love of Ignacio’s life was his family. Nothing meant more to him than the people he loved, and the memories they created together will forever remain in their hearts.

Ignacio is survived by his loving wife, Griselda Ruiz; his children, Lilliana Monique Ruiz, Izabella Ruiz, and Ignacio Ruiz III; his mother, Stella S. Ruiz; his sisters & their husbands Terry Ruiz & Reyes Mancillas and Eva Ruiz; & Ilidio DaSilva and his four nephews, Nicolas, Adam, Alejandro and F. Ignacio and three nieces, Adriana, Mikaela & Arianna.

Ignacio will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, his generosity, and the simple joys he treasured throughout his life. His legacy will live on through his children, his family, the many lives he touched, and even through the fruit trees he lovingly tended and shared so generously.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
