J. Jesus Cendejas Alejandre

–

Madera, California

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of a remarkable man, Jesus Cendejas Alejandre, who left us on March 31, 2026. Born on December 15, 1953, in Chavinda, Michoacán, Mexico, Jesus embodied a life of generosity, dedication, and love that deeply touched all who knew him.

Jesus was a man of the earth, spending 20 fulfilling years as a farm laborer in the heartland of Madera, California. He found joy in the sweat of his brow and the soil beneath his feet, taking immense pride in his work in the agriculture sector. His dedication to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his beloved family. A loving husband, father, and friend, Jesus was the epitome of a family man, always placing his loved ones at the center of his universe. His laughter and love filled their family home, creating a warm and cherished atmosphere that will be greatly missed.

Before moving to Madera, Jesus spent his formative years in Michoacán, Mexico, where he developed his strong work ethic and deep sense of community. His parents, Alfonso Cendejas and Victoria Alejandrez, preceded him in death, but their teachings and values lived on in Jesus, shaping the man he became.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Consuelo Espinoza; his children Jesus Cendejas, Victor Cendejas, Lucia Cendejas, Angelita Cendejas, Maribel Cendejas, Socorro Cendejas, Bertha Cendejas, Alfonso Cendejas, Guadalupe Cendejas and Ignacio Cendejas. He will be missed by his 25 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A vigil service will be held in his honor on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 7:00 pm at St Joachim's Catholic Church, 401 West 5th Street, Madera, California.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 1:30 pm at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera. Burial will take place in Panteon Municipal de Chavinda in Michoacan, Mexico.

In celebration of Jesus' life, we invite you to share your favorite memories and photos of him on the memorial page. The family would be comforted by your stories and images that capture the spirit of this extraordinary man whose life was a testament to dedication, love, and generosity.
