Salome L. Jacildone

Salome L. Jacildone, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Born on October 23, 1938, in Bagulin, Philippines, Salome lived a life as vibrant and nurturing as the garden she lovingly tended. Her strength was evident in her journey from the Philippines to Fresno, California, where she spent over three decades building a life rich in both experience and love.

In her free time, Salome cherished the opportunity to cook traditional Filipino dishes, filling her home with the enticing aromas of her homeland and her heart with joy. Her culinary creations were an expression of her rich cultural heritage and love for her family.

Salome is preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas and Beatriz Lictao, and her beloved husband, Orlando Jacildone. Despite these profound losses, her spirit remained undiminished, her resilience unbroken.

Salome's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, Alexander Jacildone and his wife Elsie, Robert Jacildone and Ray Jacildone and his wife Geraldine Grace. She will also be missed by her 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

To honor her life, a visitation will be held at Chapel of the Light on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral liturgy will be said at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Chapel of the Light Cemetery.
